Did you know today is World Kiss Day? I thought I would use the acronym #KISS

to chat about what makes a well designed kitchen renovation.

Let 's replay while sipping on a Fresh Watermelon -Martini ( Part 2 )!!

I found the recipe I love by #BryantTerry in his cookbook #VegansoulKithchen

Fresh Watermelon -Vodka Martini

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice

1 tablespoon agave nectar

6 tablespoons vodka

1/2 fresh red watermelon juice

2 red watermelon wedges (with rind), 2 inches long and 1/2 thick Herbed Sea Salt

Cheers to #worldkissday

Now let's chat about the components of a well designed kitchen renovation Part#3

I will highlight 2 components: cabinets and countertops

Extended details will be in my Ebook coming soon .........

Below is the "after look" of a project I designed from concept to completion and it all started with me listening to my clients needs and wants. Once I listened and surveyed the space I could envision every detail.

One thing I think we all can agree is the kitchen is the heart of the home.

Cabinets are a major part of the layout and design of the kitchen and this is one of the golden rules to remember always if you are a DIY designer or renovator.

Measure as many times as possible for accuracy before purchasing even if you are a licensed contractor !!!

Instead of listing all the names, I will just talk about the styles that coordinates with particular cabinet doors.

Some types of doors include:

Slab Doors- Contemporary style design

Flat Doors - Traditional and transitional

Raised Panels- Traditional and transitional

Accents Doors -Modern, contemporary, and transitional

Listed below are some of the top countertops that designers and contractors often like to use in homes of clients:

Granite, Quartz, Soapstone, Marble, Ceramic Tile, Wood or Butcher Block, Laminates Concrete, and Stainless Steel

There are pros and cons to each surface and these details with be in my Ebook coming soon.

Thank you for following along until next time Happy #worldkissday
